After Breakfast .Visit the imposing round - tower fort built more than 350 years ago. Nizwa, which is also known as the silver-capital of Oman, boasts a souq that offers the finest of Omani silver jewellery and handicrafts. The impressive souq complex also houses other sections such as a fruit & vegetable market, a meat market, a spice market and perhaps most interestingly, a market exclusively selling dates. Driving away from Nizwa, you arrive at Bahla, another very famous city in the interiors. Here, do a brief photo stop for the old massive fort at the town center. So very special is this old fort and the city wall surrounding it that they both feature in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Bahla is also famous for its very pretty pottery, which is still produced in its old-fashioned workshops using the traditional methods. Drive a little further to Jabreen to visit Oman’s most famous castle built in the 17th century, which boasts some of the finest examples of Omani achievement in wood carvings & ceiling paintings. While heading for Sun Mountains of Oman - Jebel Shams. With a height of over 3,000 meters, this is the highest peak of Oman and offers a breathtaking view of Oman’s grand canyon. We drive onward to another pretty mountain village ‘Misfah’, where you can see the various types of fruits & vegetables cultivated in the terrace farms on the mountain slopes. From here, we hit the ascending road leading up to the Jebel Shams, crossing Wadi Ghul. The drive up the mountain offers some splendid panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, culminating near the summit, where the canyon is located. Peering deep down into the canyon, one can also get a glimpse of the Nakher village located at the very depth of it. Before returning to Muscat, we do a last stop in Birkat Al Mauz, a model oasis village not far from Nizwa. Here, you can even enjoy a short walk through the dense date and banana plantations and photograph the famous old ruins of mud houses, which look especially pretty in the afternoon light. Following this, return to Muscat & drop-off at your hotel or transfer to Airport for return departure
