Embark on an enriching 7-day journey through Oman, where you'll explore the country's captivating landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Start in Muscat with a full-day city tour that includes visits to the stunning Grand Mosque, the Opera House, and the bustling Muttrah Souq. From there, travel to the Batinah region, known for its lush greenery and historical forts like Al Hazm and Rustaq, before heading to the charming coastal town of Nakhl.

Next, discover the historic city of Nizwa, famous for its traditional souq and the impressive Nizwa Fort. Experience the natural beauty of Jebel Akhdar, the “Green Mountain,” with its terraced orchards and scenic vistas. Continue your adventure to the Sharqiyah region, visiting the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid and the mesmerizing Wahiba Sands desert, where you'll immerse yourself in Bedouin culture.

Your tour also includes visits to Sur, with its traditional dhow-building yards, and the ancient town of Qalhat. Explore picturesque valleys like Wadi Tiwi and Wadi Shab, and unwind at the Bimah Sinkhole before returning to Muscat. Conclude your journey with some leisure time in the capital, capturing the essence of Oman diverse and breathtaking landscapes. This itinerary offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration and natural wonders, ensuring an unforgettable experience of Oman’s beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1

After breakfast at the hotel, guests will depart for a full day tour of the city of Muscat. The tour will begin with a visit to the exclusive residential area of Shati Al Qurum, known for its elegant villas. Next, we will visit the Grand Mosque, a major central place of worship in the Sultanate. We will then visit the Opera House and Bait AI Zubair, a private museum that showcases traditional Omani heritage items such as weaponry, jewelry, clothing, and more.

After a visit to the Walled City of Muscat, where we will see the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, we will continue on to the waterfront corniche and the Muttrah Souq, one of the most popular markets in the Middle East. Here, you can browse a wide variety of merchandise, from colorful imported fabrics to exotic spices and handcrafted artifacts.

We will have lunch at Muscat Hills and return to the hotel at 1830 hrs. Overnight stay at Hotel, Muscat.

Day 2

After breakfast at 0800 hrs, embark on a tour of the Batinah region, known for its fertile and lush green coastal area and rich history. Start by visiting the lively fish market in Barka, followed by a visit to the Bait Naman Castle, which was built by Imam Bil'arab bin Sultan and his brother Imam Saif bin Sultan in the late 17th century and later used as a rest house by Imam Ahmed bin Said. Next, visit the Al Hazm Fort, known for its intricate architecture and secret passageways. Then, move on to the Rustaq Fort and the nearby hot water springs. Finally, visit Nakhl, where a pre-Islamic fort perched on a hill offers a panoramic view of the surrounding plains, and make a brief photostop at the Zulfa Mosque before returning to Muscat for an overnight stay.

Day 3

After Breakfast at 0730 hrs, Depart on a local sightseeing tour and visit the following places:

• Nizwa Souq
• The Round tower Nizwa Fort
• Tanuf
• Al Hamra
• Jabrin Castle
• Birkat-Al-Mauz
The tour will take you through the historical city of Nizwa, known for its souq and impressive Round tower Fort built in the 17th century. You will also visit the ruins at Tanuf, an old village with interesting mud houses and the bottling plant producing the famous Mineral water brand "Tanuf." Next, you will continue to the Village of Al Hamra, situated at the foothill of the Jabel Akhdar mountains. The village has interesting old multi-storied mud houses surrounded by lush green date plantation. After this visit proceed to Jabrin castle, the finest of Oman's Castle built in the late of 17th century, which became a seat of Omani learning. This castle has extremely well planned layouts with room for the Imam, the ladies room, the kitchen, the majlis etc. Most of the ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings with Islamic motifs. The view from the top of the castle is really mesmerizing. After this visit, you will drive through the lush green oasis village of Birkat-Al-Mauz, stopping for a photo stop in front of its unique two-tiered falaj system and tiny castle, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel, Nizwa.
Day 4

Following breakfast at the hotel (included), leave on a tour of the famous green mountain of Oman, Jebel Akhdar. Drive through Wadi Muadeen and the oasis village of Birkat Al Mauz, where you will take a short walk through the dense banana and date plantations. Visit the old ruins of mud houses in the village and learn about its history. As you drive further through the wadi, cross a check post at the foot of the mountain and start the steep ascent up to the Saiq plateau. Jebel Akhdar is known for its large plantations of roses, apricots, and pomegranates as well as a variety of other fruits and vegetables found on the slopes of the mountain in terrace-like gardens. Visit other interesting places in the area such as Wadi Bani Habeeb and the pretty village of Shirayja. In the afternoon, descend the mountain and embark on the long drive to the Sharqiyah region, where you will enter the Wahiba desert. Before reaching the Wahiba desert, make an interesting stop in Mudayrib to witness a typical old village in the interiors of Oman with its ruins of mud houses. Check-in to your desert camp. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 5

The day includes a visit to the Wadi Bani Khalid for a swim in its pools, then moving on to visit a Bedouin family living in a typical Barasti hut and learning about their traditional lifestyle. After that, the tour continues to Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali and Aseela, and finally reaching Ras Al Hadd. In the evening, guests have the opportunity to go turtle-watching at the Ras Al Jinz beach. The trip concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Ras Al Hadd. Places covered in this itinerary are Wadi Bani Khalid, Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali, Aseela and Ras Al Hadd.

Day 6

Day covers a trip from Ras Al Hadd to Sur, where visitors will have the opportunity to see the traditional dhow yards and wooden boats being built by local craftsmen using traditional tools. The tour includes photo stops at various charming places in Sur such as the lighthouse of Ayga and the Corniche Road. The group will then leave Sur and drive past the Oman LNG plant before visiting the ancient town of Qalhat to view Bibi Mariam's tomb and ruins. Afterwards, the tour will proceed to Wadi Tiwi, a beautiful valley with high cliffs on either side and small villages of farmers who grow fruits and vegetables. The tour will also visit Wadi Shab where visitors can cross a bridge and explore the lush greenery and Fins beach where one can swim in the open. The tour will end with a visit to Bimah sinkhole, a limestone crater with clear green water where visitors can swim and snorkel. Lastly, the tour will make a final stop in the small fishing town of Quriyat before returning to Muscat and an overnight stay at a hotel.
